The Environmental Protection Agency in USA ranks poor indoor air quality among the top 5 environmental risk to public health. They found the levels of air pollution inside the home can be 2 to 5 times higher (sometimes even 100 times higher) than outdoor levels.
A study comparing women who work outside the home with those who work inside, found that the women who work at home have a 54% higher risk of developing cancer. The study concluded that this is a direct result of the chemicals in the household product.

Catch Dr Jane Goodall & Ms Earth (Singapore) this Friday, 5 June 2009 at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The Green Generation Concert will feature local talents from various schools and even a STOMP performance using recycled materials. CANCELLATION OF THE POSTER CONTEST EVENT DUE TO SWINE FLU!
Dear Participants and Sponsors of Poster Contest 2009,
For the safety of our school children and their teachers due to the recent outbreak of Influenza A (Swine Flu), we would like to send this urgent note to notify everyone that the Poster Contest 2009 Public Event will be cancelled till further notice.
In addition to the above, the procedural mass screening thermal scanners are happening in almost every school and offices and that would cause a lot of inconveniences to the participants and delay to the event activities on May 30.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
